Tailored in Tahiti with Breguet’s latest Reine de Naples

Considered by almost all to be the world’s first ever wrist watch, the Reine de Naples was created by Abraham Louis Breguet for Caroline Murat, the then Queen of Naples and sister of Bonaparte. The word Queen alone denotes a sense of a lady put above all else and this watch is very much created with that ideal in mind.

The latest incarnation of this illustrious collection sees a new dial offering. Before Diamonds were discovered, Pearls were the most sought after & valuable jewels. As a naturally occurring jewel, the perfect round and over sized South Sea pearls & dark coloured Tahitian pearls carry both demand & value.

However, pearls are by their nature porous and delicate so to create a dial is a difficult process but also a rewarding one as the array of colours created offer an unbelievable palette for the viewer. Combine this myriad of colours with the distinctive oval shape of the Reine De Naples, Diamond set inner & outer bezel and automatic movement visible via a sapphire glass window on the caseback; you have one of the most alluring designs delivered by Breguet for quite some time.

This watch is now in-store to view.
