The first Tank series from Cartier that became serially produced enjoys a dramatic return providing a new and invigorated base for the modern Cartier foundation of watches; continuing the Cartier Tank legacy with a model made for the modern Lady or Gentleman.
Created in three sizes, the Extra Large model carries a Cartier mechancial calibre while both Large & Small models utilise quartz movements. All the classic hallmarks of Cartier's style are present from the dial to distinctive hands, pointed crown and rounded case. Delivered on both steel bracelets and comfortable calf leather straps, there is a style option for every discernable client.
Louis Cartier created the Tank watch in 1917. A legend was born. The first prototype was presented as a gift to General Pershing some years before the watch was introduced into the market in 1919. The lugs blend seamlessly into the bare edges of the flat vertical brancards, giving the watch its unique aesthetic. The clean, crisp lines have proved hugely popular with a free-spirited, elegant clientèle. The now-iconic Tank watch has inspired countless variations, yet managed to preserve its distinctive identity.
