Breguet’s influence and application in horology is visible across difference mediums. Breguet’s Marine family is devoted to designs built for an outdoors environment. The collection’s title takes inspiration from the Marine Chronometers used aboard ships before the advent of electronic instruments. By measuring time accurately, the journey and direction was calculated with great skill. Accordingly, the Marine Chronometers needs to be both highly accurate and robust enough to withstand a voyage on the unpredictable sea. Breguet’s Marine family marry these requirements with a more luxurious take on nautical adventures. Delivered in precious metals and titanium alike incorporating various complications, there is an option there for the rugged seafarer alongside those who prefer lounging on the deck. Exceptional movements power these timepieces as one would expect from Breguet, visible via sapphire casebacks highlighting the rotor in the shape of a ship’s steering wheel!
