Adding to the fantastic palette of Pantone authorised colours devised by IWC sees the Portugieser Perpetual Calendar 44 "Horizon Blue" delivered with a dial reminiscent of a beautiful cloudless horizon imbuing a sense of majesty and awe.
a 44mm solid White Gold case finished in exemplary fashion is completed with a glassbox sapphire crystal, slightly raised and domed. Powered by IWC's own 52616 calibre, this ingenious calibre activates the entire Calendar system through the single crown.
Fully automatic, the calibre also incorporates the famous 7 day power reserve ensuring the wearer enjoys a long reserve while they swop in-between their other IWC models. Fitted on a soft blue calf strap matching in colour to the dial, a gold folding clasp offers optimal security when on the wrist.
IWC Schaffhausen’s perpetual calendar was originally developed during the 1980s by former head-watchmaker Kurt Klaus. In 2003, the legendary complication was presented in the Portugieser collection for the first time. Since then, the Portugieser Perpetual Calendar has been a major pillar of the collection.
