The Santos de Cartier chronograph delivers in their sportiest design the perfect palette for their watchmaking prowess. A clever chronograph complication uses the crown and a button at 9 o'clock to begin and reset the chronograph. Substantial and distinctively Cartier, this model is also equipped with the QuickSwitch and SmartLink systems wherey by the user may interchange between strap and bracelet easily, while the bracelet links can also be very easily adjusted by the user.
1904, Louis Cartier granted the wish of the famous Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont: to be able to tell the time while flying. The birth of one of the first ever wristwatches sealed the bonds of friendship between these two pioneers. The rounded angles of the dial, seamless curve of the horns, and the exposed screws made for an iconic watch that would inspire countless reinterpretations.
